Custom Made 14K Yellow Gold 3-Dimensional Calla Lily Shaped Diamond-Set Brooch

This lovely custom made brooch is crafted in 14kt yellow gold in the shape of a 3-dimensional Calla Lily. The designer, Victoria DuPont was commissioned through the Franklin Mint in the mid 1980's as evidenced through the logo of conjoined, stylized letters within a downward pointing triangle. The Franklin Mint was founded by Joseph Segel in 1964 and was acquired in 1985 by Stewart and Lynda Resnick. It is notable that Joseph Segel went on to start QVC. The company is a pioneer of the collectibles industry, starting with coins, which the company minted itself, and branching out to include such items as limited edition paintings and books, commemorative plates, figurines, celebrity likeness dolls, jewellery, seasonal giftware, and die-cast model airplanes and automobiles. A lovely satin finish covers the inside of the flower which is trimmed in a scalloped design with high polish. The high polish continues down the stem and around the back where the pin is located. The pistil of the flower is indicated by a bar prong-set with three round brilliant cut diamonds.
