10/14KT White Gold Necklace with a Pear Shaped Diamond Drop Centerpiece

This vintage inspired lavaliere necklace features a 10kt white gold centerpiece that consists of a fancy diamond-set leaf spray connected to a high polished swirl bar on both sides. Two prong-set diamonds reside just below the leaves. This portion of the centerpiece connects to a free moving pear shaped drop that is trimmed with diamonds that graduate in size as the wrap from tip to the rounded bottom. A .18 carat round brilliant cut diamond drops, pendulum-like from the inside tip of the pear. A total of thirty-four diamonds combine for .77 carats. The centerpiece is attached on both sides to a 14kt white gold cable link chain with spring ring clasp. A lavalier or lavaliere is an item of jewellery consisting of a pendant, sometimes with one stone, pendulous and centered from a necklace. The style was popularized by the Duchesse de la Vallière, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France. A lavalier can be recognized most for its drop, usually consisting of a stone and/or a chandelier pendant, which is attached directly to the chain, not by a bail.
