This 14kt yellow gold EBERHARD & Co. CHAUX-DE-FONDS Swiss made wrist watch has a 25mm square shaped curved case diameter with a round shaped silver coloured Guilloche dial. The intricate dial features black Arabic numerals, purple tinted metallic hands and a 60 second sub-dial at the 6 o'clock. The watch runs on a 15 Jewel Swiss made movement and is stamped case #231706. The watch is attached to an aftermarket 18kt yellow gold bangle style bracelet. Eberhard & Co. was founded in 1887 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, the historic birthplace of the Swiss watchmaking industry by George-Emile Eberhard. Eberhard was the son of a prominent Bernese family tracing its origins back to the 10th century, which was involved in the development of the Swiss watchmaking industry. His father early initiated him to the art of watch making and Eberhard was only 22 when he founded the company. In 1907, the company had become one of the largest Swiss manufacturers and his sons took over the company in 1919. The first woman's watch was made in 1947 and marked the start of its jewellery collections.
